Our Website Care & Support is our managed maintenance service, offering enhanced security and a range of benefits for both existing Purple Dog customers and new clients who need help with their current website.

With our Website Care & Support plans, we handle frequent software updates whenever a patch or version becomes available – typically once or more per week. This keeps your site protected against known vulnerabilities, minimises bugs, and ensures you have access to the latest features as they are released.
Websites are constant targets for bad actors. We provide enhanced security oversight, regularly monitoring your site for malware, suspicious file changes, and unauthorised login attempts. Our goal is to maintain uptime and help protect both your business data and your customers’ privacy. By staying ahead of newly discovered vulnerabilities, we help ensure your site remains healthy and stays off Google’s ‘blacklist’.

Standard SEO: When we launch your site, we will integrate basic SEO to help get you started. We then monitor the search engines for any alerts, or issues that can affect your site’s Search presence – that could be for example malware, or security certificate issues. If we detect anything, we will endeavour to resolve it. If it is a complex concern, we will bring it to your attention so that we can come up with a plan together.
Extended SEO: For complex sites and those that are requiring more ‘hands-on’ management, we offer optional enhanced plans that include more frequent tune-ups, regular updates to content, and additional search engine and AI engagement strategies. Please contact us to find out more.
As part of the monthly maintenance plan, we provide ongoing backup redundancy, keeping multiple copies of your website files and databases across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles. Backups are stored both on the server and offsite securely in the cloud for maximum protection, ensuring restoration to an earlier version* should the unexpected happen
- Standard Coverage: Our plans cover WordPress files and databases. While this doesn’t usually include full hosting accounts (such as your emails) or external services, we can often arrange additional coverage to suit your specific requirements.
- Enhanced Coverage: For a small additional fee, we can offer enhanced coverage, perfect for high-traffic and database intensive sites – such as eCommerce online stores, Booking systems and more. These optional, enhanced backup plans allow for increased frequency backups (up to every 15 minutes), load-balancing, High Availability and other solutions. Please enquire for a custom plan quote.
* Backups are typically stored for Disaster Recovery purposes. Fees are applicable if you request a restoration backup.
You can choose to receive a monthly email PDF report, outlining the work we’ve performed on your site. This is on a “per-request” basis – as we have found some customers want the reports and others do not. Just let us know if you want to opt in!
- Standard Report: The report includes a summary of updates, security scans, backups, performance checks, uptime stats and more – giving you visibility into your site’s health.
- Extended Report: For sites running Google Ads, e-commerce, or complex functions, we can optionally provide an in-depth ‘Extended Report’ that provides much deeper insight into your website visitors, allowing you to further track your growth. Please enquire.
